Synthetic Winch Line Protection
XtremeVehicles has developed the XV Fire Sleeve to protect your synthetic winch rope from melting to or being weakened by the heat from the winch drum. It is designed to handle over 700 degrees F and is simple to install. It comes with two pieces of aerospace quality high temperature aluminized tape to prevent the ends of the XV Fire Sleeve from unravelling. It comes cut to the customers request and is priced at only $1.50 per foot. You only need to protect the first wrap on the drum so 20 feet of XV Fire Sleeve normally works for 3/8 inch diameter synthetic winch rope.
